# AR Foundation SDK

The MultiSet Unity SDK brings Visual Positioning System localization, object tracking, and AR navigation to Unity projects built on AR Foundation. It targets handheld iOS and Android devices running ARKit and ARCore.

Begin with [Getting Started](/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation/getting-started.md) to install the package and set up your scene, then configure [Authentication](/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation/authentication.md) with your portal credentials.

### What's inside

1. [**Getting Started**](/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation/getting-started.md): install the package, configure the project, and set up your first scene.
2. [**Authentication**](/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation/authentication.md): authenticate the SDK with your Client ID and Client Secret.
3. [**Sample Scenes**](/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation/sample-scenes.md): ready-made scenes for localization, mapping, object tracking, navigation, training, and multiplayer.
4. [**On-Cloud Localization**](/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation/on-cloud-localization.md): localize against a single Map or a MapSet through the MultiSet cloud.
5. [**On-Device Localization**](/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation/on-device-localization.md): run localization and object tracking entirely on the device.
6. [**Features**](/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation/features.md): occlusion, NavMesh navigation, multiplayer AR, drift control, and localization simulation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://multiset.gitbook.io/multiset/unity-sdk/ar-foundation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
